NBA Mock Draft: Predicting seven prospects from the 2023 NBA Draft class that have the potential to develop into superstars.

Over the next few weeks, we should gain some much-needed clarity heading into the 2023 NBA Draft. Not only will the top of the draft officially be decided via the NBA Draft Lottery (slated for May 16), but the NBA Draft Combine is also less than two weeks away (May 16-18).

Heading into the NBA Draft, the one thing that every team in the league (especially those selecting near the top) will be seeking are prospects that have the potential to develop into star or even superstar talent. But that can be easier said than done. In an attempt to outline potential future stars stemming from this year’s NBA Draft class, we predict seven players that have the potential to develop into superstars in the next 2-5 years.

My non-lottery favorite: G.G. Jackson, F, South Carolina

It may just be me but there’s something about G.G. Jackson and his potential as he makes the move to the NBA. Considered more of a tweener at this point in his development, there’s a lot to like about the 6-foot-9 athletic wing/forward. He averaged 15 points and six rebounds during his freshman season at South Carolina.

He has the tools to be a versatile defender and proved that he can get any shot on the floor he wants with his athleticism and skill set. If he can improve his overall decision-making and continue to grow into his frame, Jackson will have the potential to be a great player.

He has all the measurables. It’s about trusting his talent and long-term potential. I may be way wrong, but I just believe Jackson.
