Just a month ago, all hope was lost for the Miami Heat. They were backing into the NBA Play-In Tournament and at best, the hope was that they could push the Boston Celtics or Milwaukee Bucs in a first-round series. In the last few weeks, though, everything has changed for the Heat. They’re one win away from making the Eastern Conference Finals and while they’re still a longshot to win the NBA Championship. the offseason is going to have a different feel now.

That said, there are still areas of the team that the Heat needs to address. For example, the Heat still needs to find its answer at the power forward position. If Bam Adebayo is going to play center, the Heat needs to find a complementary big to play next to him on a full-time basis next season. Perhaps that could be Jonathan Isaac?

The Heat is known for relishing when it comes to reclamation projects and perhaps Isaac could be the team’s next target. The big issue for the Heat and a potential play for Isaac has to be the contract situation. Miami is not in a great place when it comes to the salary cap and Isaac is due $34 million over the next two seasons.
