Charlotte Hornets

The Charlotte Hornets may not be under much pressure to make a big move as some of the other teams on this list but they’re a team that has been hovering around irrelevance in the Eastern Conference ever since they traded Kemba Walker away. Something needs to change, and quickly. Perhaps this team feels they’d be willing to make a gamble for Deandre Ayton and his long-term potential next to a player as dynamic as LaMelo Ball.

Interestingly enough, if the Hornets really wanted to completely reshape their roster, they could also add Chris Paul to a deal. In a hypothetical deal, Charlotte would get Paul and Ayton while sending Terry Rozier, Gordon Hayward, Cody Martin, and a future first-round pick to the Suns.

This would be a great deal for the Suns considering they would completely revamp their supporting cast and get both Paul and Ayton off their books. Depending on how Paul’s trade value is perceived around the league, the Suns may have to either move off from receiving a first-round pick from the Hornets or send one back.

Either way, if both teams are ready for a big change, this could be a deal that could be had this offseason.
