2. What do the Golden State Warriors do with Jordan Poole?
Jordan Poole emerged as the 3rd splash brother last postseason. Putting on incredible displays, which earned him a four-year, $128 million rookie extension. With what Poole showed all of last year, many expected him to take the all-star leap this year. That hasn’t happened. If anything he’s gone backwards.
Throughout the regular season, Poole put up a career-high 20 points per game, but he was extremely inconsistent. And in this postseason vs. the Lakers, he was mostly unplayable, putting up 8 PPG on horribly inefficient numbers. For many GSW fans, it started to seem like Poole’s contract had got to his head. And he no longer cared about what was happening on the basketball court.
With the Warriors spending so much money on Klay Thompson, Steph Curry, Andrew Wiggins, and Draymond (he will most likely exercise his player option for next season, or get a long-term contract extension).
It wouldn’t be that surprising if Golden State decided to look to move Poole to cut costs. Nothing is written in stone yet, but potentially moving Poole is a huge decision the front office needs to make.
