Zach LaVine, Chicago Bulls
Even I was on the fence for Zach LaVine in this spot. But I do believe that he makes the cut. There may be some that don’t believe he’s worth the No. 3 overall pick in this year’s NBA Draft but with how consistent and productive he’s been over the last couple of seasons, it would be hard to not include him in this list considering how uncertain the Chicago Bulls’ future is.
I know the recent reporting suggests that the Bulls are not going to trade LaVine and that, instead, they want to build around him. But it’s impossible to predict what will end up happening in Chicago this offseason. Because of that, the Blazers should at least make the call and build and offer around the No. 3 overall pick.
LaVine would be a great addition next to Damian Lillard and considering he’s one of the more overlooked two-way players in this league, this is a team that would be able to take the West by surprise next season. Who knows how far a trio of Lillard-LaVine-Jerami Grant can take the Blazers, but you’d have to imagine that they’d be good enough to make some waves.
