The Boston Celtics may end up winning the NBA Championship this season but their future is far from clear. And one of the big disrupters of that this offseason could end up being Jaylen Brown, who will be entering the final year of his contract with the team next season.

Considering that Brown has already made some interesting comments about his future with the Celtics, it would be dubious not to question his future at this point. That could change this offseason with a contract extension but until that happens, there will be teams inquiring about his availability. And the Portland Trail Blazers should be one of those teams.

A combination of Damian Lillard and Jaylen Brown would automatically be the most explosive backcourt in the Western Conference next season, and they’d be in the conversation for the best overall duo next to the likes of LeBron James and Anthony Davis, and Kevin Durant and Devin Booker.

If the Blazers truly were serious about landing a capable star next to Lillard for the No. 3 overall pick in the NBA Draft, Brown should be at the top of their list.
