Trade assets: 1. Ja Morant 2. Jaren Jackson Jr. 3. Desmond Bane

The Memphis Grizzlies didn’t have the playoff success that they hoped they would this season but there’s still plenty of promise for the team heading into the future. The belief is that with a few tweaks here and there, the Grizzlies could once again emerge as a championship contender next season. For as high of a ceiling as this franchise may have with this core moving forward, a lot of that hinges on Ja Morant. He’s the team’s best player and most valuable trade asset at the moment.

And the team will go as far as Morant can take them. Though, an impending suspension does complicate things for now. However, the hope is that Morant will be able to get back on the right track and still find himself on his road to superstardom.

The NBA’s Defensive Player of the Year Jaren Jackson Jr. may in fact be the team’s second-best player. If he were to find his way to the trade block, you’d have to imagine that the Grizzlies would be able to reel in a nice return. With as much uncertainty that revolves around Morant, he’s probably an untouchable at this point.

Desmond Bane is another key cog for the team and likely checks in as the Grizzlies’ third-best trade asset at the moment.
