Injuries have completely derailed the New Orleans Pelicans over the past couple of seasons. That much was evident this past season as the Pelicans went from being the top team in the Western Conference at the near midway point of the season to falling out of the top 8 by the end of the year due to injuries.

Despite their recent disappointments, this is still a team that has plenty of talent on their roster. If the Pelicans wanted, they could create quite the stir during the offseason by entering the trade market. It would be surprising, but there is reason to believe that the likes of Brandon Ingram and Zion Williamson would create quite the bidding war on the open trade market.

They are two rising stars in the league and the only concern about both of them really is durability. Another valuable trade asset on the roster for the Pelicans is CJ McCollum who has been a great addition to the team when they acquired him from the Portland Trail Blazers at least year’s NBA Trade Deadline.
