Trade assets: 1. Paolo Banchero 2. Franz Wagner 3. 2023 NBA Draft pick (6th overall)

As another one of the ascending young teams in the league, the Orlando Magic could also have a very bright future. But they’re absolutely still in the rebuilding phase. Even with no guarantee that this team will take a tangible step forward next season, there is still plenty to be excited about for the Magic moving forward. Their young core is led by 2023 NBA Rookie of the Year award winner Paolo Banchero.

He’s the team’s primary building block and their top trade asset heading into the offseason. Banchero is followed by one of the more underrated young players in the league, Franz Wagner. In just his second season in the league, Wagner is already averaging 19 points, four points, and four assists on 49 percent shooting from the field. And he’s still getting better and developing as a pro.

The Magic also own the sixth overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft. If Orlando wanted to expedite their rebuild, they could package the sixth overall pick with one of their other young players to land a pretty impactful player. Heading into the offseason, the Magic will have options on how to move forward as an organization.
