Trade assets: 1. De’Aaron Fox 2. Domantas Sabonis 3. Keegan Murray

The Sacramento Kings were one of the NBA’s biggest surprises this past season. Even though they lost in the first round of the NBA Playoffs to the Golden State Warriors, this is a team that finished with the third-best record in the Western Conference. Heading into next season, this is a team that should only get better. And there’s reason to believe in the long-term future of the Kings.

Because of their recent surge up the West standings, the Kings have three of the better trade assets in the league. At the top is the Kings’ leader and one of the most underrated point guards in the NBA. He’s done a great job in quieting all the concerns that surrounded him this past season. Domantas Sabonis struggled in the playoffs but had a great regular season.

Keegan Murray flashed all throughout his rookie season and appears to be a budding offensive star. If the Kings wanted to make a splash move this offseason, they certainly have the top-level trade assets to pursue a big name. I’m not sure they end up doing that, however.
