Washington Wizards
Trade assets: 1. Bradley Beal 2. 2023 NBA Draft pick (8th overall) 3. Kristaps Porzingis/Kyle Kuzma (sign-and-trade)
One of the most polarizing teams in the league, the Washington Wizards will enter the offseason will plenty of heavy lifting to do. And there’s certainly some added pressure this offseason to try and continue to surround Bradley Beal with the necessary pieces he needs to, at the very least, emerge as a playoff team in the Eastern Conference next season. If not, there could be huge repercussions to follow.
At least for now, the Wizards still have one of the league’s most sought-after trade targets – Bradley Beal. Many around the NBA have been waiting for a trade demand that has never come. And perhaps never will. Still, as long as he’s playing at a high level, he remains one of the better trade assets in the East.
Right behind Beal on the Wizards is the 8th overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft that they have control over. The Wizards should be able to find a nice prospect with the eighth pick and the hope is that he can develop into a nice building block for the team moving forward. I suppose the next best trade asset the Wizards have on their roster is whoever they end up re-signing between Kristaps Porzingis or Kyle Kuzma.
If the Wizards wanted to make some waves via the trade market, they absolutely will be in a position where they can.
