Trade assets: 1. Donovan Mitchell 2. Evan Mobley 3. Darius Garland

The Cleveland Cavaliers got a somewhat rude awakening in the NBA Playoffs this year. But that’s generally what happens with such young teams with as much inexperience as the Cavs had this past season. Nevertheless, this is a team that is clearly on the rise in the Eastern Conference and they’re only going to get better heading into next season. Just looking at their top three trade assets, it’s easy to see why.

Donovan Mitchell proved a lot of people wrong this past season. He had some struggles in the playoffs, but he had an overwhelmingly impressive and successful first season in Cleveland. As for Evan Mobley, it’s a matter of “when” and not “if.” He’s going to be a star in this league and I have a feeling we see that leap to stardom pretty soon.

Because of the addition of Mitchell and the continued development of Mobley, Darius Garland is a player that has gone somewhat unnoticed. Despite all that, Garland is coming off back-to-back productive and efficient seasons. He appears to be a big part of the team’s puzzle. But if the Cavs were ever to test his trade market, it would be surprisingly high.
