LeBron James and Anthony Davis

LeBron James is turning 39 years old this upcoming season. Nevertheless, he’s still shown he can be at the top of his game when LA needs him the most. Without James’ leadership and his on-court production, the Lakers would be so lost. He’s obviously someone that is front and center of everything Lakers moving forward. There are some rumors, which LeBron gave voice to, that he could retire this offseason, but the chances of that seem slim.

Anthony Davis is the other mainstay on the Lakers’ roster that should be a vital piece in the future. Although AD was very hot and cold offensively these playoffs, his defense was unbelievable every game.

Davis also proved he could stay healthy for an important stretch of games, which should be a sign of encouragement for Lakers fans. Everybody knows Davis is a top 15 player minimum in the league when healthy. And if he can be just that, (healthy) then there’s no reason why he shouldn’t be a Laker next year.
