Gabe Vincent
One player that has completely made a name for himself in this year’s NBA postseason is Gabe Vincent. In a contract year, he’s emerged as one of the bigger impact players for the Miami Heat as they continue on this history playoff run. In the playoffs, Vincent has averaged 13 points and four assists on 38 percent shooting from 3-point range – all while playing respectable defense oftentimes against bigger opponents.
He’s likely going to get a hefty payday heading into the offseason and could emerge as a sign-and-trade option for the Lakers, who are unlikely to have much financial flexibility when the NBA free agency period opens. If the Heat isn’t able to afford him this offseason, you can bet that they’ll look to explore some sign and trade options for him.
It’ll be interesting to see how Vincent continues to develop but at just 26 years old, his best basketball could still be in front of him. Maybe that’s something the Lakers will look to take advantage of this offseason.
