Jordan Clarkson

Heading into the offseason with a player option, it would be surprising if Jordan Clarkson didn’t get a pay raise this offseason. The big question is whether it will be with the Utah Jazz or another team. Unless the Jazz is going to give him a huge offer, I’d have to imagine that he could be on his way out of Utah. Especially considering that this is a team still in the early stages of what will likely be a long rebuild.

If Clarkson wanted a shot to make a return to the big stage, perhaps the Lakers could be of interest to him. He’d be a fit on the Lakers as a player who could help take some of the offensive pressure off of LeBron, AD, and Austin Reaves from time to time. Not to mention that he’s already familiar with the franchise.

Clarkson is also coming off one of the best seasons of his career, averaging 21 points, four rebounds, and four assists on 44 percent shooting from the field. With LeBron working as a point-forward, Clarkson is the type of score-first point guard that the Lakers could get away with starting.
