If the Philadelphia 76ers are going to lose James Harden to the Houston Rockets, they should absolutely try to get something in return for him. And considering a sign-and-trade would give Harden a richer deal, it’s probably something that the Rockets (and Harden) would be interested in as well. One potential player they could target in a potential sign-and-trade with the Rockets is Jae’Sean Tate.

Tate has had a solid start to his career but because of the recent influx of young talent that the Rockets have in the backcourt and on the wing, he’s become somewhat of a player that has ended up on the outside looking in. Still, Tate is coming off a season in which he averaged nine points, four rebounds, and three assists on 48 percent shooting from the field.

Tate would give the Sixers another wing that they could throw in the mix and one that they could potentially develop into a starter in the future. His inconsistency from the 3-point line is something that could be of concern for the Sixers but he would offer some value for the team as a slasher and offer versatility on the defensive end of the floor.
