Heading into the NBA Draft, Damian Lillard is a name to keep an eye on. With the cards that the Portland Trail Blazers have been dealt, it’s safe to assume that one of two things could happen this offseason – perhaps even at the NBA Draft. The Blazers could either trade the No. 3 overall pick (which we have already discussed) or they could end up moving Lillard. That may or may not happen at the NBA Draft, but if it did it would create quite the chaos.

Could you imagine word leaking on NBA Draft night that the Blazers were open to the idea of trading Lillard? Most if not the entire league would be scrambling to put together their best trade packages (2023 NBA Draft picks included) to make a run at one of the NBA’s most dynamic players. The NBA Draft would be one chaotic mess, all because of Lillard.

That said, it would be highly unlikely for the Blazers to trade Lillard at the NBA Draft. If the Blazers get to a point where they’re ready to trade Lillard, the most likely scenario is that they end up trading him at some point when free agency opens.
