13. Toronto Raptors – Keyonte George, G, Baylor
With the official start of the NBA offseason around the corner, it doesn’t seem like anyone has any real feel as to what the Toronto Raptors will do this summer. And that could be both good and bad heading into the 2023 NBA Draft. It’s good for the fans because it could set up the possibility for absolute chaos on draft night. It could be bad for the front office because indecision usually never leads to anything good.
Nevertheless, with the No. 13 pick, one prospect that makes a lot of sense for the Raptors, no matter what they end up deciding to do this offseason, is Keyonte George. He’s a talented offensive player that is still just beginning to realize how talented he can be. He has all the physical and natural gifts you want from a prospect and could help a team that has some uncertainty in the backcourt.
If there was any knock on George during his time in college, it was that he could be inefficient at times. Though, that’s something you hope will improve with experience and good coaching. The Raptors could offer him on both those fronts.
