2. Charlotte Hornets – Brandon Miller, F, Alabama

For as much as I believe that the Charlotte Hornets should simply take the best player available with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, it sure seems like they’re going to choose a player that they believe is the best fit for what the team is trying to build. And if that does end up being the case, it would seem that Brandon Miller is the likely prospect that they’re going to settle on.

All that said, this is not to say that the Hornets would be making a mistake if they were to draft Miller with the No. 2 overall pick. Miller has great size and length and has guard-like skills at 6-foot-9. He’s a natural scorer of the basketball and has the physical tools to be a versatile defender on the defensive end of the floor.

Miller has star potential and there’s a good chance that he ends up being a great player for the Hornets, but here’s hoping this doesn’t end up being a selection that the team ends up regretting in a few years.

Miller and LaMelo Ball have the potential to be a great duo for the Hornets.
