25. Memphis Grizzlies Jalen Hood-Schifino, G, Indiana
The Memphis Grizzlies have some big questions to answer about some of their big-name players. However, unless something drastically changes before the NBA Draft, they should continue to build around Ja Morant, Jaren Jackson Jr., and Desmond Bane.
With the team likely moving on from Dillon Brooks, Jalen Hood-Schifino could be a target at No. 25. Hood-Schifino would give the Grizzlies another guard to add depth to the backcourt and the possibility of another potential high-ceiling player down the line. Hood-Schifino ran through his expectations in college; why can’t he do the same in the NBA?
26. Indiana Pacers (via Cleveland) – Kris Murray, F, Iowa
A second first-round pick, this is where the Indiana Pacers can start being a bit creative with their moves. One potential target at this point in the NBA Draft that would make sense is Kris Murray.
Murray is not his brother but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t offer the potential to be a good 3-and-D contributor down the line. If he can land in the right situation and is given the opportunity to develop at his pace, there’s no question he is worthy of a first-round selection.
