With as much uncertainty as revolves around this team with James Harden, I wouldn’t discount them in a potential pursuit of Chris Paul in free agency. At the right price, Paul could be a calculated addition to a Philadelphia 76ers team that has failed to break through in the Eastern Conference in each of the last few seasons. I can’t imagine that Paul alone would be the one variable to help the Sixers breakthrough, but his veteran experience and leadership could go a long way in stabilizing this team’s locker room.

If the Sixers are able to get Harden to stick around and sign an extension, Paul makes sense as an addition. However, if Harden does move forward with leaving Philadelphia for Houston, then a potential pursuit of Paul makes less sense.

Either way, the Sixers are a team to keep an eye on heading into the offseason when it comes to a potential landing spot for Paul.
