Bradley Beal to the Portland Trail Blazers

The Portland Trail Blazers are likely going to make one last effort to build a contender around Damian Lillard. And if Bradley Beal becomes available this offseason, you’d have to imagine that the Blazers would be open to getting involved. At the very least, they should make a call to see what the price would be. If Shaedon Sharpe is indeed an untouchable for the Blazers this offseason, a package would have to begin with Anfernee Simons. Jusuf Nurkic would have to be included for salary purposes (though, he could be moved to a third team).

To spice up the offer the Blazers could include two first-round picks, with one of them being via the New York Knicks in this year’s NBA Draft. The big question is whether that would be enough to entice the Wizards to make this deal. And I think a big part of that hinges on how much they believe in Simons.

For Portland, this deal would certainly equate to a possible contender in the Western Conference. A trio of Beal, Lillard, and Jerami Grant would surely be able to make some noise next season. Would it be enough, however, to keep Dame around?
