NBA Draft Rumor: Charlotte Hornets have honed in on Brandon Miller

One of the biggest NBA Draft rumors or trends that has surfaced recently is the idea that the Charlotte Hornets are targeting and have decided to make Brandon Miller their selection with the No. 2 overall pick. The biggest reasoning behind this is the fact that Miller is a better fit on their roster and making Scoot Henderson the selection could make things difficult or complicated with LaMelo Ball already on the roser.

On the one hand, it makes sense. When Miller was playing at his height during the college basketball season, there were some that were ready to anoint him as the second-best prospect in this year’s NBA Draft class. However, that narrative certainly went in the other direction after he struggled during Alabama’s NCAA Tournament run.

Miller being selected No. 2 over Henderson wouldn’t be the greatest of draft crimes. However, it’s a move that the Hornets could very much end up regretting down the road. At the same time, wouldn’t this be a notorious Hornets move? Simply overthinking what they should do with this selection.

In the end, I do think this is more fire than smoke. I’d expect Miller to be the No. 2 pick.
