NBA Trade Rumors: The Milwaukee Bucks could emerge as a surprise dark horse potential landing spot for Bradley Beal if he is traded.

The Milwaukee Bucks are coming off a disappointing showing in the playoffs, losing in the firs-round to the eventual Eastern Conference champion Miami Heat. With a new head coach in charge, the expectation is that the front office will do what it can to help shake up the roster heading into a new era of Bucks basketball.

It’s entirely impossible to predict what that potential shake-up could look like for the Bucks this offseason. One name that has emerged as a possible pipe dream for the Bucks is Bradley Beal.

According to Shams Charania, the Milwaukee Bucks could emerge as a surprising dark horse landing spot for Beal. When hearing this news, you might ask how exactly the Bucks could emerge as a legit landing spot. And there’s one answer to this – Beal has a no-trade clause and will have the ability to essentially handpick the team that he wants to go to if he is indeed traded this offseason.

Beal is coming off an injury-plagued season in which he still leveraged 23 points and five rebounds in only 50 games played.

Bradley Beal could be traded before the NBA Draft

Perhaps the most interesting part of all this news is the timeline that is given on a potential trade. From all indications, if Beal does end up being traded, it could happen before the NBA Draft – likely to give the Wizards more assets heading into the start of the offseason.

That means that we could be increasingly close to the first big domino of the offseason falling. Without knowing for sure where exactly Beal would want to play, you’d have to assume that the usual contenders will be in play.

That means the Miami Heat, Boston Celtics, Los Angeles Lakers, and Bucks, evidently, could all have a good chance of landing Beal. It’ll be interesting to see how the next few days pan out and how this story evolves.

You’d have to imagine that the next possible step in this story is a decision from the front office and possibly a preferred destination list from Beal. Whether that ends up getting leaked or not remains to be seen.

With where everything stands now, there seems to be a good possibility that Beal ends up being traded at some point this offseason. Perhaps even before the NBA Draft.
