The Miami Heat may be one piece away

If there’s one thing that could be gathered after watching the Miami Heat in the NBA Finals, it was that they’re really close to breaking through. They’ve been to the NBA Finals twice in the last four seasons and made at least the conference finals in three of the last four years. If the Heat is able to make one significant move this offseason, perhaps adding a third star next to Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo, it’s hard not to consider them a strong championship contender heading into next season.

In fact, I would go as far as to say that the Heat is one piece away from being a possible favorite (depending on what other teams do this offseason) in the Eastern Conference heading into next season. It’s not far-fetched to say that the Heat is a Bradley Beal away from being a championship favorite.

The Heat owes it to Jimmy and Bam to be all-in this offseason. They owe it to their stars to try and find the final piece of their current puzzle. Perhaps most importantly, they owe it to themselves to find a way to get back to the NBA Finals and get it done this time around. Beal may in fact be that final piece for the Heat.
