NBA Trade Rumors: The Atlanta Hawks are one of the teams eyeing a potentially bold move for Pascal Siakam.

Heading into the offseason, the Atlanta Hawks are an interesting team to watch. On one hand, they could completely transform their roster and it wouldn’t be all that surprising. On the other hand, if they didn’t make any big moves, it also wouldn’t be surprising.

In short, anything and everything is on the table for the Hawks heading into the summer. With new leadership in the front office, it’ll be interesting to see how the Hawks elect to approach the offseason. But it’s pretty clear there’s a good chance that they could undergo at least some change over the next couple of months.

According to a recent report, one big move that they would hope to make is one for Pascal Siakam. The Toronto Raptors are a team that could make the pivot to a rebuild or retooling and there’s a chance that they could end up moving on from Siakam. If that ends up being the case, there will be a huge market for the All-Star forward.

The Hawks would hope to be included in that potential bidding war. And they’re hoping one emerges this offseason.

What could the Atlanta Hawks offer in a potential Pascal Siakam trade package?

I can’t imagine the Hawks would want to trade Trae Young in any deal, so let’s cross him off a potential package. In that case, you would have Dejounte Murray, John Collins, Clint Capela, DeAndre Hunter, Bogdan Bogdanovic, Onyeka Okongwu, Saddiq Bey, AJ Griffin, this year’s first-round pick, and a 2024 first-round picks that the Hawks could trade.

There are some interesting pieces, but the Raptors would likely be asking for multiple first-round picks in any deal for Siakam. That could make a Hawks’ potential deal for Siakam complicated.

Though, you’d have to imagine that the package would have to be built around Murray, Okongwu, and Hunter. Even if you tack on two first-round picks to that, I’m not sure the Raptors would be interested. Especially considering the packages that some other suitors could put together – for example, the New York Knicks could theoretically offer three or four first-round picks and young players.

Nevertheless, Siakam has emerged as the Hawks’ offseason pipe dream trade candidate. A duo of Young and Siakam would be interesting but it would be difficult for Atlanta to find the right deal. It just seems unlikely.
