NBA Trade Rumors: 5 Realistic, 5 unrealistic draft day trade possibilities

Unrealistic – Damian Lillard is traded

As much as everyone tries to push for Damian Lillard to demand a trade away from the Portland Trail Blazers, we must face the facts. It has not gotten to that point yet and there’s no guarantee that it ever will. Lillard wants to win in Portland and the Blazers are exhausting all options in trying to find him a star to help him accomplish that. My gut tells me the Blazers figure out how to make Dame happy and he stays in Portland.

I have a hard time believing that Lillard will be traded at all this offseason, much less at the NBA Draft. Even if the Blazers did get to a point where they’re going to trade him, it will likely take weeks of negotiations. Considering the Blazers are not there yet, I don’t believe that something is just going to materialize in a matter of a few days.

Lillard is not getting traded right now and it certainly won’t happen in the next week. I suppose we have gotten to the point where there’s a non-zero chance he does get moved, but it’s not happening at the NBA Draft even if it were to come to that scenario between Lillard and the Blazers.
