NBA Mock Draft: Raptors trade into top 3; Heat land star in blockbuster move
11. Orlando Magic – Bilal Coulibaly, F, France
If the Orlando Magic is able to find their point guard of the future with the No. 6 pick, in this case, Anthony Black, I would largely expect this pick to be moved. The Magic could trade out of the first round and swap this pick for a future first or they could move back out of the lottery. Either way, if the Magic is content with the player they take with the No. 6 pick, I don’t expect a selection here from Orlando.
If they do make a pick, Bilal Coulibaly is an interesting possibility. He’s another one of these late-rising prospects that are likely going to be taken in the late lottery. Coulibaly has a ton of potential but is 100 percent a prospect that may not pay dividends until years down the line. Is that something the Magic would be OK with? Tough to say, but he could be an intriguing fit on this young team down the line.
Coulibaly is 6-foot-7 with a 7-plus-foot wingspan. He translates as a defensive specialist that has the skills to be a good offensive player if he reaches his ceiling. He would be a great high-ceiling flier at this point in the draft for the stacked Magic.
