23. Portland Trail Blazers – Noah Clowney, F, Alabama
After landing Pascal Siakam in our predicted trade with the Toronto Raptors, the Portland Trail Blazers could look to add some insurance to the frontcourt (with a likely next move including moving on from Jusuf Nurkic). One player they could target late in the first round to help on that front is Noah Clowney.
Clowney has had an interesting path to the draft. His stock has been as high as a possible lottery pick to as low as being a possible second-round selection. I don’t think anyone knows where he’ll be selected ultimately, but he’s a player that the Blazers could have use for late in the first round.
24. Sacramento Kings – Maxwell Lewis, F, Pepperdine
If the Sacramento Kings end up moving on from Harrison Barnes, Maxwell Lewis is a player that the team could develop behind Keegan Murray. Lewis translates as a possible 3-and-D contributor but there are legit questions about his athleticism and whether he’ll be able to translate to the NBA speed quickly.
Nevertheless, if the Kings are looking for help on the wing at this spot, Lewis would be a solid addition at No. 24.
