New York Knicks

It should come as no surprise to see the New York Knicks on this list. This is a team that has taken tangible steps forward but also one that seems to be a piece or two away from true title contention in the Eastern Conference. There is reason to believe that the Knicks could be a Paul George acquisition away from entering the conversation of teams that could win the conference next season.

If the front office truly believes that, there’s no question that they should be willing to make an all-in attempt to acquire PG from the Clippers. Unlike some other teams on this list, if the Knicks were to make an all-in effort to land PG, they’d probably be able to outbid almost every other interested team.

In other words, an all-in effort from the Knicks would be almost better than another other team’s all-in effort on this list. This could ultimately come down to whether New York believes PG is the missing piece they’re looking for or whether they’re willing to continue to be patient to wait for another star.

If PG is available on the trade block, I’d be extremely surprised if the Knicks were involved one way or another.
