Ranking and projecting the top 24 NBA Draft prospects with a 5-tier system
By Ryan McCrary
Tier Two: All-NBA
*Elite prospects who have the potential to be a top 15 player in the league as well as the best or second-best player on a championship team*
2. Scoot Henderson, Guard, G-League Ignite
Scoot Henderson is a stocky guard with elite length and athleticism who dominates opponents as a scorer, passer, and ball handler. His ability to pressure the rim is fantastic, and he is very effective as a mid-range shooter. This, along with his high-level court vision, makes him a devastatingly good pick-and-roll ball handler.
He has a lot of potential on the defensive end of the floor too. Although he is a bit short for a guard at 6-foot-2, he has a ridiculous 6-foot-9 wingspan, so there is room for him to become a strong defender at some point.
Something that has been overlooked by the draft community, though, is the fact that Scoot Henderson’s production last season was a bit underwhelming. He struggled as a three-point shooter, interior scorer, and defender, and If these issues continue, he could underperform his draft slot. Still, his potential is sky-high.
