Taking a closer look at three potential NBA Draft missteps that are completely undefendable.

The 2023 NBA Draft is officially in the books. The next slate of potential superstars are now on teams and the league’s offseason is squarely upon us. To the chagrin of many (perhaps), there were no big trades. Damian Lillard, Karl-Anthony Towns, and Zion Williamson are still on their respective teams (for now). However, there were still plenty of intriguing storylines to emerge from draft night.

Naturally, one of the bigger talking points from the NBA Draft will revolve around “winners and losers.” While it may not be right to anoint teams with such titles just yet, I believe second-guessing is fair to do.

A few questionable NBA Draft decisions in the first round

And to put it lightly, there were a few questionable decisions that were made in the first round of the NBA Draft. While some of them are understandable considering the situation, there were three that I simply can’t defend.
