16. Grant Williams (restricted)

At this point, it would be extremely surprising if the Boston Celtics ended up re-signing Grant Williams. Even though he had some truly impactful moments as a member of the Celtics, it’s pretty clear that it’s probably in the best interest of both sides to move on.

Williams likely needs (and deserves) a bigger role at this point in his career and the Celtics have decided to move in a different direction (with the addition of Kristaps Porzingis). Short of the team trading Robert Williams and/or Al Horford, there doesn’t appear to be a defined role for Williams next season.

The Dallas Mavericks have been linked as a potential landing spot for Williams and I believe he would be a great fit on the wing. Heading into the offseason, what the Mavs need most is a strong two-way player with the ability to play an effective role next to Kyrie and Luka. If the Mavs could work a sign and trade with the Celtics, this would be a potentially solid move for both sides this summer.

Prediction: Dallas Mavericks
