4. Jerami Grant
As we inch closer and closer to the start of the NBA Free Agency period, all the attention regarding the Portland Trail Blazers centers directly on Damian Lillard. And understandably so. He holds all the keys to the Blazers’ offseason at the moment. However, apart from Lillard, the Blazers have another big decision to make this summer. And it centers around Jerami Grant who is an unrestricted free agent.
As you would expect, the decision on Grant is likely going to line up with what happens with Lillard. If Dame decides that he wants to keep moving forward and build with the Blazers, Grant is likely going to get the huge big-money deal that he’s going to demand on the open market. On the other hand, if Lillard does demand a trade away from the team, I’d imagine that the Blazers will seek potential sign and trade deals.
At least for now, I don’t expect Lillard to demand a trade away from the Blazers. I have to see it to believe it. Lillard has been the most loyal player in the NBA in the last decade. The fact that so many expect him to suddenly change is mind-boggling.
