James Harden will re-sign with the Philadelphia 76ers

James Harden is one of the more underrated free agents that not many people seem to be talking about. And sure, he may not be the superstar that he once was a few years ago. And sure, he’s struggled over the last few seasons in the playoffs. Still, he’s a player that could have a huge impact on a team. If Harden does end up leaving the Sixers, it would have a huge impact not only on Philadelphia but also on the new team that he signs with.

Just a few weeks ago, there was a growing expectation that Harden was going to leave Philadelphia and sign with the Houston Rockets. However, since then, the narrative surrounding Harden has changed recently. There’s now a renewed confidence that he could re-sign with the Sixers. All in all, Harden’s free-agency decision is still very much up in the air.

I predict that, ultimately, Harden will return to the Sixers. Even with the lure of Houston, Harden re-signing with the Sixers just makes too much sense for it not to happen. The Sixers give Harden the best shot at a title and I believe he’ll sign one more shorter-term contract in an attempt to finally win a championship.
