Another Western Conference team that could emerge as a potential landing spot for James Harden as he’s seemingly requested a trade away from the Philadelphia 76ers is the LA Clippers. They have been recently linked to Harden and could emerge as a team that kicks tires on the idea of trading some of their big-money depth to the Sixers or a third team in order to acquire Harden in an attempt to find the final piece of their championship puzzle.

While they certainly have to be considered a possibility, I’m still not sure how I feel about the trio of Harden, Kawhi Leonard, and Paul George. All three have had a difficult injury history and while they would seemingly be good fits from a basketball perspective, who knows if head coach Ty Lue can make it all work?

That said, at this point in their timeline, it would make sense for the Clippers to give it one more shot with this core before some real tangible changes are forced on the team. The Clippers should be extremely aggressive this offseason if they feel the end of the Kawhi-PG era is near. And, hey, maybe it does end up working out.
