Miami Heat

Would anyone really be surprised if the Miami Heat explores the market for James Harden this offseason, even more so if this is a situation that lingers into the middle of July? From all indications, the belief is that the Heat is going to wait out the Damian Lillard-Portland Trail Blazers situation. No one truly knows how that is all going to end but if Dame decides to stay with the Blazers, making the pivot for Harden would not be the worst plan b for the Heat.

This would even make more sense if it does end up being a one-year experiment. And if the Heat truly wanted to part ways with Tyler Herro, perhaps they could get the Sixers to either absorb his contract or expand this to a three-team deal to get off of that contract.

Again, this only really makes sense if the Heat knows they’re going to miss out on Lillard. At this point, it would be quite hilarious if the Heat made the move for Harden and missed out on the chance of Lillard.

Miami has waited this long for Lillard, but Harden could be a solid plan b.
