James Harden wants to be traded to the LA Clippers. If that is indeed the case, we explore what the framework of a trade would look like.
It was somewhat surprising when it was reported that James Harden was going to opt into the final year of his contract with the Philadelphia 76ers. It became even more surprising when it was added that he would work with the Sixers to try to find a trade of his choosing.
On the precipice of NBA Free Agency, all eyes are squarely on Harden ad the Sixers as they look to make another blockbuster-level trade. Even though Harden is probably not at his peak anymore, he’s still a really good player. In fact, he’s coming off a season in which he averaged 21 points, 11 assists, and six rebounds per game on 39 percent shooting from 3-point range.
Harden is a longer in a place where he can be a successful No. 1 star for a team but as we saw during his time with the Sixers, if he’s surrounded by other All-Star talent, there’s no question that he can be a truly impactful player.
