Caris LeVert, Cleveland Cavaliers

The contract: 2 years, $32 million

With a huge need on the wing, it was almost a foregone conclusion that the Cleveland Cavaliers were going to re-sign Caris LeVert. Even though at times he felt like an odd fit on the team, he’s a weapon that the Cavs couldn’t let walk in free agency. And the deal that the Cavs inked LeVert to is quite fair. LeVert signs a $32 million deal over two years equates to about $16 million per year. That seems like a fair deal for both sides.

LeVert is coming off a season in which he averaged 12 points on 39 percent shooting from 3-point range. He managed to be even more productive in the team’s first-round playoff loss against the New York Knicks and that may have been enough to lock up an extension from Cleveland. Either way, because of how manageable this deal is, the Cavs came out as winners.

Even if LeVert struggles more than he did this past season, this is a contract that would be easily movable. It’s hard to look at this deal, considering the team’s needs, and say this is a bad deal for the Cavs.
