3. Kelly Oubre Jr., unrestricted
Kelly Oubre Jr. has had an up-and-down start to his career. After struggling to find his footing with the Washington Wizards coming out of college, he’s been extremely productive over the past few years of his career. Now that he’s an unrestricted free agent, it will come down to a few things for Oubre – what he is valuing at this point in his career and what amount of money would be right in his eyes.
Oubre is still just 27 years old and could be a valuable player for a team looking for some depth on the wing. What his value truly comes down to is whether or not teams believe he can remain healthy. He’s coming off a season with the Charlotte Hornets in which he averaged 20 points and five rebounds per game. With some of the big money gone, I wouldn’t exactly discount the idea that he could return to Charlotte but that also seems somewhat unlikely considering they’re pivoting toward their young movement.
It’ll be interesting to see where Oubre lands. He’s a talented player that still has a good amount of prime years left. Will he find the right landing spot?
