NBA Rumors: With NBA Free Agency coming to somewhat of a standstill, there are still five difference-making free agents that are curiously still available.

The first and second wave of NBA Free Agency is pretty much in the books. Even though July 6 is the first official day that teams can begin signing players, the majority of big-name free agents have already come to agreements, with many of those deals coming during the first couple of days of free agency.

However, there are still more than a few valuable and difference-making free agents still on the open market. Maybe we’re at a standstill because many of these free agents are waiting to see what ends up happening with Damian Lillard, but there’s no question that there are going to be teams that find value with these targets late in free agency.

Let’s explore four of the best free agents that will make for value signings at this point in the offseason.

Differencing-making free agents still available

Will Barton (unrestricted)

Finishing the season with the Toronto Raptors, Will Barton didn’t have the best of campaigns during the 2022-23 NBA season. He averaged less than 20 minutes per game to start the season with the Washington Wizards and played an even smaller role in Toronto.

That said, at just 32 years old, there’s a chance that Barton still has some gas left in the tank. Keep in mind, he’s just one season removed from starting 71 games for the Denver Nuggets and averaging 15 points per game on 37 percent shooting from 3-point range. If there’s a team looking for insurance in the backcourt, Barton would be a great veteran option.
