NBA Trade Rumors: 3 Landing spots that make most sense for Pascal Siakam
New York Knicks
Coming off a season in which the New York Knicks made a run to the Eastern Conference semifinals, it’s not outlandish to come to the conclusion that this team is one piece or two away from true contention. Maybe that one piece could end up being Pascal Siakam. A core of Jalen Brunson, RJ Barrett, and Siakam would be an intriguing trio and one of the better ones in the NBA. It may not be on the same level as Boston’s, Milwaukee’s, or Miami’s (if they end up landing Damian Lillard) on paper, but it would certainly be enough to compete with them.
The Knicks have some intriguing young pieces that they could build an offer around and then numerous future first-round picks that they can add to make it that much more appealing. The big problem that the Knicks could run into is the fact that they’d almost definitely have to find a third team to move Julius Randle to. And that could prove to be difficult.
If New York could find that, there’s no question that they could be a possible (and plausible) landing spot for Siakam, if the Raptors are indeed closing in on trading him.
