NBA Rumors: Ranking 10 best and most impactful offseason moves so far
7. Knicks add Donte DiVincenzo
You can make a strong argument that there may not be a team in the second or third tier of the Eastern Conference that is positioned better for the future than the New York Knicks. This is a team that took a huge step forward this past season by making it to the Eastern Conference semifinals and one that could seemingly take another step forward this upcoming season. If they do end up doing so, one of the big reasons why could be the free-agency addition of Donte DiVincenzo.
In a vacuum, the simple addition of DiVincenzo won’t make that big of a difference for a team but considering where the Knicks faltered most in the postseason against the Miami Heat, it’s easy to see why the team decided to make it a priority to add a two-way wing.
The addition of DiVincenzo will help stabilize the team’s depth on the wing. They may not be done in addressing their overall depth but with RJ Barrett, Quentin Grimes, Josh Hart, and DiVincenzo, the Knicks have a strong wing rotation heading into the season.
