1. Mikal Bridges, Brooklyn Nets

My prediction is a common pick that I have seen for the NBA’s Most Improved Player. Mikal Bridges is seemingly the early favorite to win the award, and the reasons are definitely justified. Bridges spent half the season in Phoenix and half the season in Brooklyn in 2022-23. When Bridges arrived in Brooklyn, he almost doubled his scoring average up to 26.1 points per game and showed what he is capable of as a scorer.

Bridges was able to unlock parts of his game a lot of people did not realize he had. Bridges now seem to be a two-way force for the Brooklyn Nets. I can certainly tell you that Mikal Bridges’ name will be in all-star talks all year. Night in and night out you can count on Mikal Bridges to be suited up and giving it his all on the hardwood.

Being the new leader of this Brooklyn Nets squad opens up so much for Bridges, and for that reason, he is my early favorite for Most Improved Player. If you were able to watch and keep up with Bridges in the regular season and playoffs for Brooklyn, then you know how good he is going to be for them.

A full season under his belt as the No. 1 option should take Mikal Bridges’ game to new heights.
