James Harden will be traded to the LA Clippers

With all the noise that is surrounding James Harden and his possible trade demand, I’d be shocked if this wasn’t something that eventually came to fruition at some point this offseason. I predict that Harden will eventually be traded to the LA Clippers. Assuming that the mutual interest between the Clippers and Harden is mutual, the only thing that is standing in the way of trade is Daryl Morey and the Philadelphia 76ers. They reportedly have a high asking price for Harden.

I have a feeling that the asking price is going to drop over the next few weeks once they realize that Harden truly doesn’t want to return to the Sixers next season. At that point, the Sixers will decide that trading Harden, even if it is pennies or dimes on the dollar is better than trying to force something with Harden next season.

Without a second move, the Sixers are likely going to be slated to take a step back this upcoming season. Harden may not be at the prime of his career anymore, but replacing his impact on the offensive won’t be easy – no matter how much Tyrese Maxey is able to improve this season.
