Trade offer No. 2: Blazers get a mix of young talent, draft capital

In search of more talent from a potential Damian Lillard deal, perhaps the Portland Trail Blazers would be more interested in a possible return such as this. The Blazers could get Duncan Robinson, Caleb Martin, Nikola Jovic, Jaime Jaquez Jr., two first-round picks, and two pick swaps from the Miami Heat. They’d also get Talen Horton-Tucker from the Utah Jazz who would be participating in this deal as a third team.

For being a third team in this deal, the Jazz would acquire Tyler Herro from the Heat. Miami would get Lillard, Kelly Olynyk (from the Jazz), and a 2025 first-round pick (via Minnesota). Utah has been linked to Herro and could be willing to give up one of their many future first-round picks to take on the All-Star talent. The Blazers would get more young players they could take fliers on and a valuable trade piece such as Martin that they could turn into another future first-round pick at the NBA Trade Deadline or at the NBA Draft.

Ideally, the Heat would’ve liked to keep Martin and one of their young players in a potential move for Lillard. However, it was never all that realistic of an outcome. If this is an offer that gets a deal done, the Heat should be willing to do so.
