Trade offer No. 3: A crazy four-team trade with many moving parts

Miami Heat get: Damian Lillard, Jusuf Nurkic

Blazers get: Josh Green, Jaime Jaquez Jr., Nikola Jovic, Kyle Lowry, Duncan Robinson, 2028 First-Round Pick (via MIA), 2030 First-Round Pick (via MIA), Two Pick Swaps (via MIA)

Mavs get: Clint Capela, Caleb Martin

Hawks get: Tim Hardaway Jr., 2025 Second-Round Pick (from DAL, via TOR), 2026 Second-Round Pick (from MIA, via LAL)

This final hypothetical offer is a crazy four-team trade that would include the unlikely partners of the Dallas Mavericks and Atlanta Hawks. Before we get to them and why they would be involved, let’s get to the basics of the Heat and Blazers.

Miami gets Damian Lillard and also takes on the contract of Jusuf Nurkic. Nothing new. Portland gets Jaime Jaquez Jr., Nikola Jovic, Kyle Lowry, and Duncan Robinson from the Heat. They will also get their 2028 first-round pick, their 2030 first-round pick, and two pick swaps. The wrinkle here is that they would also get Josh Green, an intriguing young prospect, from the Mavericks.

Why would Dallas trade Green? Well, because they’re going to get two players that could go a long way in helping improve the supporting cast around Kyrie Irving and Luka Doncic. Dallas would get Clint Capela (from the Hawks) and Caleb Martin (from the Heat).

Atlanta, as part of this deal, would get Tim Hardaway Jr. (from Dallas), and two second-round picks (one from Miami and one from Dallas) for their participation.

The Hawks and Mavs could be inching closer to a trade of Capela and perhaps they could be lodged into the Lillard deal. It’s not a perfect four-team trade but does make sense for nearly every team involved. I believe the biggest sticking point is Dallas being open to trading Green. If they are, perhaps this is a deal that could develop.
