Pascal Siakam, Toronto Raptors

Aside from Damian Lillard and James Harden, there hasn’t been another star player in the NBA that has been linked to trade whispers more than Pascal Siakam. Whether or not he eventually gets traded remains to be seen. However, based on an outside look of the situation, it appears that Siakam wants to remain in Toronto but the Raptors have serious questions about whether or not they want to keep some of their veterans around as they pivot toward a younger move.

And with Fred VanVleet already out of the way, it only makes more sense for the Raptors to also begin the process of parting ways with Siakam. Considering they lost VanVleet for nothing in free agency, the Raptors probably want to avoid that situation transpiring with Siakam next offseason. Trading him now makes a ton of sense.

Maybe the Heat could emerge as a landing spot that Siakam would be open to. From Miami’s point of view, he makes a lot of sense next to Bam Adebayo and would also fill the void of another offensive talented star that could take pressure off of Jimmy Butler.
