The Denver Nuggets’ best offseason moves

After winning an NBA Championship, there were not that many moves for the Denver Nuggets to make this offseason. If they could, the ask would be to keep the core of this team together in an attempt to give them a fair shot to repeat as champions. For the most part, the Nuggets were able to do that this offseason. A couple of moves made at the 2023 NBA Draft could end up paying huge dividends for the team down the line.

Drafting Julian Strawther and Hunter Tyson

With the writing on the wall that the Nuggets were likely going to lose some depth this offseason due to salary cap implications, it was important for the team to try to reload on some talent via the NBA Draft. If the NBA Summer League is any indication, the Nuggets did a great job by selecting Julian Strawther and Hunter Tyson.

Both had their moments during the summer league slate and while it would not be fair to expect either of them to emerge as rotation pieces right away for the Nuggets this season, they’re two prospects who could end up growing into a contributing role for the team.
