Biggest offseason moves: Signing Malik Beasley, re-signing Brook Lopez and Khris Middleton

Even after a disappointing showing in the first round of the playoffs against the Miami Heat, in which they lost in five games, the Milwaukee Bucks entered the offseason with the priority – and need – to bring back their core. Both Brook Lopez and Khris Middleton were free agents and the Bucks needed to re-sign them. And that’s exactly what the Bucks ended up doing as they looked to keep a strong, championship-worthy supporting cast around Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Additionally, the Bucks also managed to pull off what could end up being remembered as one of the most underrated offseason signings. Milwaukee was able to sign Malik Beasley as a player that could bolster their bench and 3-point shooting. If he can settle into his role with the Bucks, Beasley has the chance to be a valuable contributor to the team.

Considering the lack of options and flexibility that the Bucks had heading into the offseason, they came away as big winners. If they can remain healthy, Milwaukee is going to be a contender once again in the Eastern Conference.
